The Grad Show
Welcome to the 2023 mid-year North Metropolitan TAFE Grad Show! We are proud to showcase the creative works of our Diploma of Information Technology (IT) students, specifically in Front End Web Development, Back End Web Development, and Advanced Programming. Each year, the students produce websites and applications for real clients, giving them real work and industry experience, and an opportunity to produce quality IT products and demonstrate their technical skills.
The students have collaborated in teams, such as in a real-world scenario in the IT industry, and have worked tirelessly while learning how to manage projects, customize WordPress themes, design databases, and much more, while developing their communication, problem solving and independent thinking skills. A ‘Grad Show’ event is organised twice a year allowing employers in the IT industry and our students to meet and mingle. Take a peek at our impressive projects and graduating students.
NMT Diplomas
Front End Web Development
The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Front End Web Development) students work on live web projects and gain technical skills in advanced digital graphics, frameworks, WordPress, SASS software, UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface) design, as well as soft skills such as communication with clients through teamwork, advanced problem solving and research skills.
Back End Web Development
The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Back End Web Development) students work on live web projects and gain technical skills in database design, cloud application development, information architecture, big data, machine learning and web app development, as well as soft skills such as advanced problem solving and research skills while working on the back end of web development projects.
Advanced Programming
The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Advanced Programming) students work on developing applications, designing databases, cyber awareness, and gain technical skills in cloud application development, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, data modelling, software testing and debugging systems, as well as advanced problem solving, research skills and project management skills.
